Action Carpets & Flooring is the trading name of Action Carpets Ltd, company number 05156918 (England & Wales), registered office Henwood House, Henwood, Ashford, Kent, TN24 8DH. What we collect
When you use the contact form or the free quote form on this website, we collect what you enter: your name, phone number, email address and, if you give them, your company, town or postcode, the type of project and flooring, your nearest showroom, room sizes and your message.
If you phone, email or visit a showroom, we keep the details you give us so we can deal with your enquiry. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers on this website.
How we use it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange a site survey, prepare your quote and, if you go ahead, carry out and invoice the work. We never sell your details or pass them to anyone for marketing.
Under UK data protection law, we rely on taking steps you have asked for before a contract (quotes and surveys), our legitimate interest in answering general enquiries, and our legal duty to keep business and tax records once you are a customer.
Who we share it with
We only share your details with the services and people we need to do the job:
- Web3Forms, which delivers messages from our website forms to our inbox.
- Our email and website hosting providers. Like all websites, ours keeps short-lived server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security.
- Our fitters, who need your name, address and phone number to carry out your installation.
How long we keep it
If your enquiry does not lead to a job, we delete your details within two years. If you become a customer, we keep your records for six years after the work, as the law requires for business and tax records.
Maps and cookies
This website does not set any cookies of its own. The showroom maps on our Home, About and Contact pages are provided by Google Maps. When one of those pages loads, Google may set cookies and receive your IP address; see Google’s privacy policy.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The website will still work, and the Get directions links open Google Maps in a new tab.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete them, or object to how we use them. Email info@actioncarpets.co.uk and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
